Jetted cleaning of RV black and gray tanks

What it is

  • Jetted cleaning uses high-pressure water delivered through a specialized nozzle to remove built-up waste, biofilm, mineral scale, and odors from the interior walls and plumbing of black (toilet) and gray (sink/shower) tanks.

  • The nozzle spins or sprays at multiple angles to reach seams, baffles, and trap areas that ordinary flushing can’t clean.

Why it matters

  • Removes stubborn deposits and solids that cause clogs, slow draining, and strong odors.

  • Breaks down biofilm and mineral buildup that can protect bacteria and retain smells even after dumping.

  • Helps restore proper tank capacity and improves sensor accuracy (full/empty readings).

  • Reduces need for harsh chemicals, extended dumping, or tank replacement.

Typical jetted cleaning process

  1. Inspection: Technician checks tank access, valves, fittings, sensors, and any visible damage. Tank is partially emptied if needed.

  2. Access setup: Service connects to the tank through a cleanout port, toilet flange, or exterior access panel.

  3. High-pressure jetted rinse: A rotating or multi-nozzle jetted head is inserted into the tank. Water pressure and nozzle
